Backpack ADHD
Consider "You do not have ADHD, rather you have some of the same symptems". One might imagine that the difficulties involved in diagnosis are like stones you wear in a rucksack. As above. The size of the rocks varies and sometimes there are additional stones, i.e. you can have several diagnoses. The fact that one needs to carry these stones, makes it harder to get past obstacles that one encounters on one's way through life.
For ADHD, problems with impulsivity, concentration and hyperactivity are what underlie the diagnosis. This is what you have in your backpack and what you have to get help with and learn to handle.
You can read more about the different difficulties by clicking the stones in the ADHD backpack.
