Friends/leisure time

It is hard to explain that the reason for being late is because the child has had to wash lots of times before leaving home. It then becomes easier to stay at home. Sometimes friends may see that OCD sufferers often repeat things in a strange way and can become ashamed of their behaviour. 
In order to help your child it may be good for you as a parent/caregiver to explain to friends why this happens.
