Environments where there is no clear structure, such as a schoolyard or playground, require a whole lot of the skills lacking in children with autism. At the same time, much of what the child needs to learn is developing in just such situations. Integration in a nursery group with the help of a personal assistant makes the child learn much more when it comes to interacting with other children than what is possible in a special group for children with autism.
